The access steps are for a high seat and are designed to allow easy access esp. by older people. There is a closable covering element fitted to the individual steps. It is fill fitted at least in the bottom region. The closable covering can be flipped up about a side suspension through operation from above or below and can be fixed in the position. The covering is in the form of a plate element.
