The power-station heat exchanger is particularly in the form of a condenser, having a oreliminary cleaning sieve for the cooling water, together with pipe-cleaning equipment. It incorporates pipes and water chambers, while the cleaning equipment incorporates separation sieves for the cleaning balls, and a return pipe with pump and sluice valve for the latter. One at least of the water chambers (5,6) is enlarged, and contains the preliminary cleaning (2) and/or the separation (8) sieves. The pipes can merely form a path for the water between upstream and downstream chambers, the downstream one (6) containing the separation sieves and the upstream one the cylindrical preliminary cleaning sieve. The cooling water enters the latter from the outside, while the ball return pipe (9) discharges into its cylindrical interior (15).
