Capacitive HF drying oven for porous goods - has upper electrode formed from metal fabric or mesh resting on top of transported goods

The capacitive HF drying oven for relatively thin castings or chemical fibre cables uses two flexible metal electrodes across which an electric potential exists. The upper electrode is in the form of a sheet (5) of a metal mesh or metal fabric which rests on top of the goods (1) being transported through the oven due to its own weight. Pref. the goods are transported through the oven via an endless metallic transport band (2) which passes around earthed rollers (21) and acts as the lower electrode. The electrical energy is fed to the upper electrode via an auxiliary electrode (7) spaced a variable distance above it and connected to a HF generator (8). The transport band (2) and the sheet (5) both allow the passage of heated air.
