Cavity filling in mine gallery excavation - involves pneumatically backfilling space sealed by foil tubes after compressed air evacuation

Soft tubular foils are inserted and inflated with compressed air. This is then replaced by a filling of highly pressure- resistant materials, after progress along 10-50 m. This allows filling of the hollow spaces between rock and support system for opening up mine galleries. The compressed air is let out or removed from the tubes. The area sealed by the empty foil tubes lying on the warping mats is then backfilled with pneumatically conveyed building material.
