The liquid storage container is made from impermeable cloth having an elliptical section when filled. The material may be reinforced with ribbing or panels kept in place with adhesive. The storage container may be filled by an opening in the side of the container. The opening can be closed by folding the two sides of the material over a flexible cord (5). The ends are folded back and hedl between pads (7) bolted together by a through bolt (4) and held by rigid material (3).
