The device is for watering the floor of a riding hall. A sector sprayer (10) is set on a pivotable water feed pipe (11) of partly horizontal. The water dispensing direction forms an angle of 15 to 20 deg. with the horizontal. There is an S-shaped hollow body (21) which can be pivoted in the place in front of the orifice (20) of the sector sprayer (10). This S-shaped hollow body (21) has a rectangular cross-section. The floor of the hall may be made of a mixture of sand and sawdust.
