<p>PURPOSE:To suppress noises efficiently, by installing in a side cover a partition member which is provided with a small hole that communicates a high pressure chamber with a discharge chamber. CONSTITUTION:A partition member 62 is provided in a side cover 38 to define a high pressure chamber 60, a low pressure chamber 54 and discharge chamber 68 and at the same time the high pressure chamber 60 and a discharge chamber 68 are communicated with a small hole 70. By this arrangement, the high pressure collant in the high pressure chamber 60 diffuses and expands when it flows into the discharge chamber 68 through the small hole 60 and at the same time the high frequency components in the discharge pressure pulsation are reduced effectively by their mutual interference, when their collision takes place at the central portion, which brings about effective suppression of noises.</p> |
