Landjaegers or similar sausages are formed on a set of moulds mounted parallel to each other between two frames. The sausages are formed in pairs with one end open and a constriction in the centre. The board which forms the mould is made from plastic and can make at least three or more pairs of sausages. The mould are formed with the base plate as a single item. The sausages are formed by spreading the sausage meat onto skins laid in the moulds using a scraper board. The sausages thus produced do not damage the mould esp. due to moisture and the system allows for hygienic operation.
