This supply device for an asynchronous electric machine includes a static frequency converter supplied by a DC source (+U/-U) and comprising a pair of switching elements (1/2) allocated to each phase in order to generate a near-sinusoidal alternating current in the coil (R) of the machine. The device comprises, on each phase, between each pair of switching elements and the plug-in point of the windings of each phase of the asynchronous machine to be supplied, an impedance (Z) whose value increases at least proportionally to the frequency. Such an impedance makes it possible to reduce the losses due to the current harmonics and to suppress instability of the machine due to the additional torques of a pendular nature due to the harmonics. <IMAGE> |
