<p>For the diversion of the seat belt strap (2) a ring (1) with an elongated opening is provided. The ring is attached to a shackle (3) made of a piece of flat material and provided with a hole (4) on the apex of its triangle-shaped area. The base of the triangle shape is welded to the upper part of the ring (1) where the two ends (1a,1b) of the round material, from which the ring is shaped by bending, meet. The edges of the shackle base have gaps (7) to keep down the weight of the fitting and the middle part (3a) of the edge connects the joint between (1a) and (1b). To increase the strength of the weld, the edge (3a) is twisted in a sine wave shape, resulting in an increase of the contact area between the two parts.</p> |
