Coating for hair clip clamp hinge pin - to support hinge during over-moulding and line bearing during use

Hair grips are moulded using hinge pin wires precoated with a fusible resin. The coated wires are a force fit to maintain clamp alignment during overmoulding with a decorative plastic body, then is partly melted to provide a smooth bearing surface for manipulation of the hinged clamp. Pref. the coating is of epoxy resin, opt. coloured to disguise the hinge wire.
