The present invention relates to a device for piloting material. In the manufacture of helical wound tubes, rollers are presently being utilised for bending the plate into helical form. Burning damage on the rollers does however occur, which is a major drawback. The present invention provides a device where a number of balls 1 abut against the plate to be bent or piloted. The balls are displaced along an endless path 2, 3 and are supported at suitable portions along the path. According to an embodiment of the invention, the device may be utilised for piloting of the material flow on conveyors. <IMAGE> |
