PURPOSE:To prevent a tire from a biased abrasion by a method wherein left and right shoulder rib widthes of a tread pattern are designed so as to occupy a predetermined ratio with respect to a tread width in a four main grooves type tire utilized for general high-speed running. CONSTITUTION:A four main grooves rib type tire is divided in its tread 1 into 5 areas of a central area A and areas A2, A1, A1, A2 pinching the central area by forming four sets of zigzag main grooves 2, 2' on an outer periphery of the tread 1 so as to be located at both sides of a center line of the peripheral direction and continued in the same direction. In such tire, both of left and right shoulder rib widthes B of the tread pattern is designed to be within a range of 18-22% with respect to a tread width W. Widthes C of the main grooves 2, 2' are designed to be within a range of 4-8% with respect to the tread width W while a point height D of the main grooves are designed to be within a range of 2-7% with respect to the tread width W. |
