<p>Melt adhesive is a mixt. of (a) 100 pts. wt. of a non- hydrogenated, linear block copolymer with mol.wt. 30,000-300,000 of formula A-B-A, in which the terminal A blocks form 10-50 wt.% of the block copolymer, each have mol.wt. 5,000-50,000 and are non-elastomeric blocks of a monovinyl-aromatic monomer, and the block B is an elastomeric (co)polymer of butadiene and/or isoprene in ratio by wt. of 70:30-5:95; (b) 25-300 pts. wt. of a tackifying resin; (c) 5-200 pts.wt. of a rubber extending oil; and opt. (d) the usual additives. Compsn. is esp. used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive for self-bonding materials, e.g. films, labels, floor or wall coverings, and medicinal plasters.</p> |
