摘要 <p>The device for use at high speeds picks up a coded signal from spaced radio beacons denoting the position coordinates and uses these together with the distance of the aircraft from the beacon obtained from further received signals to obtain the aircraft position coordinates. The device has a distance measuring stage, a processor and a decoder, with an additional angle measuring stage for indicating the direction from which the distance measuring signals are received, relative to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. The device uses the distances to two different beacons together with the angles from which the respective signals are received. The position coordinates of one beacon are used to determine the aircraft position coordinates, together with the corresponding measured distance and angle, the other measured values used for verification.</p>
