Beams and frames comprised essentially of thin iron sheet plates (1a, 1b and 14), associated to castable veils (2 and 2a), of for example concrete, by metal connectors (3e and 11). The beams may be reinforced by armatures (4a), embedded in the veils (2 and 2a). The position of the connectors is defined as follows: a) to prevent in the beams under a load a substantial buckling of the iron sheet plate (1 and 14), jeopardizing the structure, b) to transfer to iron sheet plates (1 and 14) the longitudinal sliding stresses generated by the armatures (4). The structure is completed by a welded lattice (16a), cross-bar (18) and reinforcement caissons (19) arranged at supporting points. Said structures may be prolonged at their ends by metal caissons allowing to form assemblies between different structures by means usually used in iron works (not represented).
|
