A centrifugal machine, particularly with a single body, is used for clarifying liquids and thickening sludges. The drum of the centrifuge is comprised of two drum halves (11, 12) and an axially moving pipe (13), said pipe connecting drum halves; the supply (15) is provided axially. At least one portion of at least one of the drum halves is axially movable with respect to the other for the purposes of reducing the inner space of the drum during operation of the centrifuge. |
