The container consists of an upper cylinder having a lower plate arrangement (9). The lower plate has a lower bowl (5) fitted to it with a bayonet catch. The bowl has an opened central hand hole. The controlling elements consist of a box containing a number of rollers geared together by means of end sprockets. One edge of the bowl is fitted with serrations to allow the paper towel length to be torn off at will.
