<p>The solar heat collector consists of a base (1) constructed from a rigid, moulded, insulating material, an absorber (2) with an inlet (5), an outlet (6) through which the heat carrying fluid circulates and a transparent cover (3). This is sealed to the base around the perimeter (4). The upper surface (7) of the base (1) is convex and carries protrusions (8) which support the absorber, which is also convex. It creates a layer of air (10) between the two. The upper surface (7) of the absorber has a reflective surface. The transparent outer cover is concave to match the shape of the absorber and provides a constant width air gap (d).</p> |
