Double glazing and sound-proofing panel - is fitted over existing window frame and allows introduction of dehydrated material into cavity between window and panel

Translucent double glazing panel (4) carries a coloured band (7) around its perimeter on the side facing the window pane (2) and is provided with an opening, containing an air-tight stopper (5). This introduces a rod containing dehydrated material into the cavity between the window (2) and the panel (4). The panel is secured to the frame (1) using rubber or thermoplastics mastic (6). The band (7) is pref. slightly wider than the mastic (6) so as to hide it and is of a similar colour to that of the frame.
