410,294. Revaporizing liquefied gases. LINDE AIR PRODUCTS CO., 30, East 42nd Street, New York, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Dana, L. J. ; 155, Chandler Street, Buffalo, New York, U.S.A.) March 3, 1933, No. 6512. Convention date, May 4, 1932. [Class 8 (ii).] Container for liquefied gas comprises an inner vessel 11 surrounded by insulating material in an envelope 12, which also contains an auxiliary vessel 14 communicating at its upper and lower ends with the upper and lower portions respectively of the vessel 11. The vessel 14 thus contains a column 17 of liquefied gas, and is provided with a conduct 18 for the passage of a heating agent. When gas is being supplied from the container, heating fluid is passed through the conduit 18 whereby the liquefied gas in vessel 14 is vaporized and passes into the vessel 11 above the liquefied gas therein, so giving a desired pressure greater than the pipe line pressure. The container is provided with a filling conduit 23, a liquefied gas withdrawal conduit 21 and a gas phase withdrawal conduit 26, provided with a safety valve 29 ; gas under pressure is supplied to a gas receiver 34 for storage purposes, or through conduit 31 to consuming apparatus. |
