PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance of a roller bearing arrangement by providing around roller bearings an intermediate annular housing which is held by means of a stator frame of a rotary electric machine and a bearing housing having a substantially circular cross section. CONSTITUTION:Intermediate annular housings 15A, 15B are provided respectively around roller bearings 6A, 6B mounted on an axle 5. A bearing housing 7 is formed to have a substantially semicircular cross section extending over both intermediate annular housings 15A, 15B and has fixing grooves 19A, 19B formed therein. The bearing housing 7 is secured to a mounting bed 11 at the grooves 19A, 19B and fitting grooves 18A, 18B. In the maintenance of the roller bearings 6A, 6B, bolts 20, 21 are removed so that the bearing housing 7 is separated from the mounting bed 11 and hence the axle 5 comes to appear between both intermediate annular housings 15A, 15B. The housings 15A, 15B are then displaced towards the center, thus facilitating maintenance of the bearings 6A, 6B. |
