<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a print of good contrast keeping the same resolving power as a single thermal element has by a method wherein contiguous thermal elements are heated instantaneously. CONSTITUTION:Thermal elements of No.0 and No.31 are connected directly with head drivers respectively, thermal elements of the remaining No.1, C0001,...C3101 are combined into one set, while thermal elements of the following No.30, C0030,... C3130 are combined into one set and lead wires are drawn out of each set. When the thermal elements C0000, C0001 are heated, a signal ''1'' specifying ''Set No.0'' is inputted to an upper bit input terminal 1UC, a signal ''1'' specifying ''0'' is inputted to a lower bit input terminal 1DO and a ''0'' is input to each of the others. The instant that a signal ''1'' is sent to the head driver AO, the output of an AND circuit AMO also takes a ''1'', the head drivers AO, B0000 are driven to heat the C0000. On the other hand the output of an OR circuit ODI also takes a ''1'', a drive circuit B1 is driven, the C0001 also is heated simultaneously while other heads are not heated.</p> |
