PURPOSE:A thymine-containing accelerator of antitumorigenic effect. CONSTITUTION:To 1mol of 5-fluorouracil of the formula (R1, R2 are H, alkoxymethyl, tetrahydrofuryl, alkylcarbamoyl) having antitumorigenic activity, are added more than 0.5mole, preferably less than 50mol of thymine which has no antitumorigenic activity at all and the mixture is prepaed into tablets, capsules or granules for oral administration or injectable or suppository for parenteral application to give the objective accelerator of antitumorigenic effect. Although thymine, itself, shows no antitumorigenic activity, the combination thereof with a compound of the formula can increase the antitumorigenic effect. |
