<p>A sealing device is disclosed which is capable of externally sealing a joint between two or more substrates, especially supply lines, or sealably repairing a fault in a single supply line. The device comprises a hollow body member provided with a plurality of spaced apart deformable internal flanges and provided on its inner surface and/or the flanges with a sealant, for example a hot-melt adhesive which is preferably provided in generous portions between the flanges so that, when the device is positioned about the substrate(s) so as to deform the flanges, it exudes and completely fills the remaining space between the flanges. auxiliary means, such as heat shrinkable sleeve, may be provided to complete the seal.</p> |
