PURPOSE:To increase the cooling speed of a shaped body and prevent the deformation of the formed article as much as possible by a method wherein molten and extruded thermoplastic resin is shaped into a polygonal profile and is passed through a cooling head, thereafter, an internal portion thereof is hardened by cooling under a pressure with pressurized cooling medium. CONSTITUTION:The thermoplastic resin or waste of synthetic resin and the former are loaded into a treating device 1 and molten therein, thereafter, are extruded out of a shaping passageway 8 of a shaping die 7 through a channel 4 of a crosshead 3 continuously provided to a discharging port 2 and a choked passageway 6 of a choking pipe 5 to shape into a polygonal profile while a whole outer periphery of the shaped body (b) is covered with lubricating agent by injecting the lubricating agent through a slit 9. Next, the shaped body (b) is introduced into a passageway 14 of the cooling head 13 provided continuously to the die 7 and a surface skin thereof is hardened by cooling it with cooling water projected from a cooling shower device 15, thereafter, is introduced into a pressurized cooling tank 16. Cooling medium (c) having a pressure of 0.5-20kg/ cm<2> filled within the tank 16 is influenced to a whole periphery of the shaped body (b) to cool under pressure, thereafter, the shaped body (b) is sent out of an outlet port 18 continuously. |
