PURPOSE:To prevent a nozzle part of an ink jet head from clogging by a method wherein cleaning liquid is supplied under pressure through a cap attached to the ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning liquid discharging pipe 30 is attached to a cleaning cap 7 to retrieve the cleaning liquid into a waste liquid tank 21 by opening a solenoid valve 31 before sending the cleaning liquid into an ink jet head 6, thus, dust adhered to an internal wall of the cap 7 and the tip of the nozzle for the head 6 is removed through the discharging pipe 30 and the valve 31. Next, the valve 31 is closed and a compressor 10 is activated to pressurize the cleaning liquid in a tank 13 while the cleaning liquid is sent by pressure to the cap 7 through a filter 14 and a three-way solenoid valve 16 to wash an environment of the nozzle, then, is discharged into the tank 21. The cleaning liquid retrieved into the tank 21 is returned to the tank 13 through a pipe 40 and a solenoid valve 41. |
