<p>A process for preparing novel 4a-phenyl and substituted phenyl cis-2,3,4,4a,5,6,7,7a-octahydro-1H-2-pyrindines having a 2-substituent, which is characterized by reacting the corresponding 2-unsubstituted compound with an acylating agent followed by reduction or with an alkylating agent, is disclosed herein. These novel compounds are useful as analgesic agents.</p> |
