[Also in Division A4] Cylindrical articles which are stored in a movable stand 1 having a plurality of parallel shelves 2 slightly inclined towards a roller conveyer 11 are dispensed one at a time on to the conveyer 11 by releasing a distribution gate 15 which when operative prevents the cylinders on the shelf in position in front of the gate from passing to the conveyer. A contact 20 on the side of the gate 15 registers the presence of a cylindrical article preventing movement of the stand but if the shelf in front of the gate is empty the contact starts a motor 10 which, acting on a screw 7 by way of reduction gearing 9, displaces the stand. A rod 8 having notches equal to the space between the shelves actuates three contacts, one controlling the distance of displacement of the stand while the other two 25 and 24, reverse the motor when the topmost shelf is in a position in front of the gate and the bottommost shelf is in a position in front of the gate respectively. The conveyer 11 includes rollers 13 driven by a belt 14. |
