PURPOSE:To rotate an AC generator at a constant speed and stabilize a generating voltage by magnetizing a rotor shaft in a polarity inverse to the slide shaft in the longitudinal direction of the shaft by a rotor coil in accordance with the intensity of the electromotive force. CONSTITUTION:When an engine rotates at a high speed, a generating voltage becomes high, and a current flowing through a rotor coil 9 increases, and a pole piece 10 and a rotor shaft 1 are positively magnetized. Therefore, the slide shaft 13 slides in a direction of narrowing the gap until the side surfaces of pulley members 2a and 2b confront each other against the force of a spring 29. Accordingly, a V-belt 25 is pushed up in the centrifugal direction, the ratio of rotation of a generator with respect to an engine, is lowered, the rotation of the generator is not increased, and the generating voltage is made constant with respect to the variation in a predetermined range of the rotational number of the engine. When the rotational speed of the engine is low, the engine operates inversely to the above described case to make the generating voltage to a constant value. As a result, the generating voltage can be maintained always stably regardless of the variation of the drive rotation. |
