A vacuum cleaner dust bag (10) comprises two portions of air-pervious filtering sheet material (11) joined to form two closed ends (12, 13) and having an inlet opening (14) in one portion for insertion of an inlet tube for entry of dust-laden air into the bag. An elastic plate (16) is attached to one portion of the sheet material (11) in the plane thereof and over the inlet opening (14). The plate (16) has a slot or slit (17) which is distended when the inlet tube is inserted therethrough into the bag, so that the plate seals around the tube. The need to provide the usual cardboard mounting plate is thus avoided. <IMAGE> |
