PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor superior in charging performance, photosensitivity, image characteristics, and printing resistance and free from fatigue deterioration especially in a transfer repeating system, by adding a specified fluorene derivative bisazo compound to a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:To thin layer 2 formed on conductive substrate 1 of the lamination type electrophotographic receptor consisting of charge generating layer 2 and charge transfer layer 3 is added especially as layer 2 a bisazo compound represented by formula I in which A<1>, A<2> are each an aromatic hydrocarbon optionally substituted by NO2, CN, halogen, carboxy, alkoxy, alkyl, dimethylamino, or the like; R<1> is H or 1-4C alkyl; R<2> is H, optionally substituted amino, 1-4C alkyl, carbamoyl, carboxy, or its ester; R<3>, R<4> are each an optionally substituted alkyl; and A is formula II, III, IV, or V. Durability is enhanced more effectively by laminating layer 3 on layer 2 than by doing vice versa in using a transfer repeating type electrostatic recorder. This compound may be used by dispersing it into layer 3.
