Wind motor with vertical axis 1 and three or more wings 6 which during rotation are kept at an advantageous angle relative to the direction of the wind, each of said wings 6 having two central axles with cam discs 7 being turned by displaceable cam rods 8, controlled by rollers 9 in guiding circles 11 which are placed by a wind vane 13 and 14. For smaller wind motors though, only cam discs, cam rods and guiding circles on the upper axis are needed. The speed is governed in that the guiding circle 11 and thereby the positions of the wings are turned more or less relative to the main wind vane 13 and out of the direction of the wind by means of two smaller, angled wind vanes 14, and the wind motor is stopped manually by means of a spindle 17 turning the guiding circle 11 relative to the main wind vane 13 with function corresponding to the two angled wind vanes 14, and kept in place by an attached weight. <IMAGE>
