PURPOSE:To attempt to facilitate the manufacture of the subject commutator and prevent the interlayer short-circuiting of the coil by punching the main body of a commutator plate in which an arm provided with a coil supporting member and a commutator surface are unitarily formed, from a single conductive member. CONSTITUTION:The main body 1 of a commutator formed by punching it from a copper area layer plate, is fitted with a bushing 2 at the center part, and further a hole 3 penetrating through the rotor shaft is provided. Furthermore, an odd number of commutator segments 5 are divided and formed by a suitable number of slits 4 extending radially from the center part to the outside in correspondence to the number of coils to be wound, and the contor of the tip end of the sagment extending outerside is formed substantially in arcuate shape along the contor of the coil to be wound. At both sides of the vicinity of the tip end of the segment 5, an arm part 5b extending in the horizontal direction along the segment 5 at both sides in the vinicity 5a at the tip end of the segment 5, and bending is easily performed by bending at the outside slightly from the vicinity of the substantial center part 5b'. Accordingly, the manufacture of the motor is facilitated and the interlayer short-circuiting of the coil can be prevented. |
