The steam from a source 9 and fuel from a source 6 may be drawn into a carburetter Venturi 2 and subsequently pass through a screen 11 comprising cerium to the intake manifold 3. The carburetter conduit 1 may have an internal coating comprising cerium. The steam may be generated in a tank (16), Fig. 2 (not shown), filled with water to a constant level by a tank (13), the generating tank having an exhaust pipe (17) or pipes extending therethrough. |
