PURPOSE:To strongly stir even a high-viscous substance for an extended period of time by a method wherein a metal ball holder having movable metal balls is mounted into the rotary disk of a magnet driven stirrer. CONSTITUTION:In a magnet driven stirrer to handle high-viscous substance such as culture medium, strong magnets 1 are embedded within the rotary disk 2, and a freely rotatable metal-ball-holder plate 4 having metal balls 3 is mounted. When the rotary disk 2 is rotated, the metal balls 3, functioning as bearing, rotate and move with the metal-ball-holder-plate 4 and thereby contribute to an extend period of high-speed rotation. In said manner, the function of the metal balls 3 allow a smooth rotation without shaft vibration, so a high-viscous culture medium can be strongly stirred for a long period of time. |
