<p>An air mixing chamber from which a suction line leads away, a housing in which filter elements are suspended, and a filter funnel beneath them having a laterally aligned inlet line, are provided in an air filter. Transversely to the inlet opening, in the centre of the funnel, a vertical bulkhead is fitted. This has at the height of the inlet, a round opening smaller in dia than the inlet opening. Transversely to the filter opening also two baffle strips and an edging rail at the top of the bulkhead are fitted. The layout overcomes the uneven distribution and mixing of the air occurring normally when a lateral inlet is used.</p> |
