This drafting pen has a tubular tip, and can exactly control the amount of ink at the tip, and simply clean the air groove formed in the tip. There is provided an ink amount control mechanism having an elliptically spherical chamber (11) and a control ball (12) in the ink passage formed between an ink cartridge (18) and an ink agitating weight chamber. An air chamber (14) and the air groove (10) are formed by the recess and spiral groove formed on the upper outer peripheral surface of a main shaft (1) as well as by a cover (9) for coating the recess and the spiral groove. A knob (16) makes contact with the upper end of the cover (9) and is engaged with the upper end of the main shaft for controlling the air supply amount from the air chamber (14).
