<p>The potters wheel machine (2) consists of a throwing disc (3), a worm drive (4) a frame (5) and cover (6). The worm gear (4) has a gear housing (7) a housing cover (8) a coupling element (10) and a central vertical shaft (24) which connects the throwing disc (3) to the drive by means of a friction coupling consisting of an 'O' ring laid in the top of the driving disc (20) on which the throwing wheel (3) rests. For driving the mechine, an electric drill (32) or similar, with a fixing neck (33) and protruding shaft (34) is used. The neck is gripped by the clamp (15) and a six sided driving insert (35) screwed on the shaft (34) engages in a similarly shaped hole in the coupler (10).</p> |
