摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent a mixture from being overheated by a recirculating exhaust gas, and a creation of tar or the like in a suction manifold which has an exhaust gas recirculation passage, by retaining the recirculating exhaust gas in an expansion chamber for a longer period and cooling it by virtue of an engine cooling water. CONSTITUTION:A cooling water turned hot after cooling an engine body E runs from an inflow pipe 10 through a channel 8 into a hot water riser chamber 6 and heats a mixture distribution pipe 3 just above the chamber 6 to promote atomization of a liquefied fuel. An exhaust gas running through an exhaust recirculation path 11 is carried via a flow control valve 16 into an expansion chamber 13 just under the hot water riser chamber 6. Therein, the flow is slowed down and cooled by a cooling water flowing through the hot water riser chamber 6, while it is retained for a relatively long period. The cooled exhaust gas is fed back from an opening 11a into the mixture distribution pipe 3 and runs against a baffle plate 12 into two of left and right currents. After mixed with a mixture from a carbureter, the currents are sucked into each cylinder of the engine.
