Copy transfer for photocopier - applies fine grain opposingly-charged particles over toner image before transfer

A copy transfer process for a photocopier applies a layer of fine grain particles to the toner image before the copy sheet is brought into contact. This reduces the residual charge on the toner image and enables simple image transfer. The fine grain particles are charged with a polarity opposite to that of the toner image. It causes the charge image to be swamped so that a simple pressure process transfers the image. The system can be applied to most dry powder copiers.
