<p>The valve compensates for pressure or vacuum in tanks, particularly those containing fuel, resulting from alterations in filling level or temperature. It comprises a valve body (6) of sintered plastics, inserted in an opening (4) in the tank wall or cover. In the radial direction the opening can be enclosed by inner and outer valve housing sections (1,2) one behind the other in the flow direction and joined together. The body can be inserted in a widened portion of the opening and can be of water-repellent but fuel-absorbent material, e.g. polyethylene.</p> |
