<p>The radiant heater has a cylindrical combustion chamber with a burner at one end, and an insert accommodating the flame inside the chamber and of heat-resistant material, equipped with a radiation shield with apertures. An insulating air space is formed between the casing of the combustion chamber and the insert. The insert (24) is a cylindrical body, over which the shield (26) fits, enclosing it for a set angle. The shield can be of sheet- metal, out of which a number of similar ribs are pressed to form the apertures.</p> |
