摘要 Laminar material or element comprises a sliding or friction layer applied to a support by the explosive wire process or by sputtering, the layer consisting of a firmly cohering layer of particles of different sliding or friction materials which are applied in a statistical sequence and distribution and at least some of which are not soluble in one another or are not bondable with one another in the solid state. Also claimed is the method of prodn. of the material or element in which the layer is formed by the explosive wire process or by sputtering one or more targets which contain (i) sliding or friction material which forms the matrix of the layer and (ii) sliding or friction materials of a different type and/or material introduced as particles or pieces in the amt. required in the layer. The method is useful for producing materials having (a) a metal layer contg. plastics (esp. PTFE, FEP, PVF and/or PO) particles, (b) a metal layer contg. ceramic particles, (c) a layer of different metals, and (d) a metal layer contg. oxides of the matrix metal formed in situ (pref. an Al alloy matrix contg. Al2O3 particles). In layers of type (a) a very fine distribution of plastics particles is obtd. and only up to 20 vol. % plastics is required for constant coefft. of friction of the material.
