<p>Dispenser is for pastes and viscous liqs. and consists of a cylindrical container with a piston inside it. It is used for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals etc. The container has a threaded shaft down the centre on which the piston moves. At the top is a spring loaded pusher also with a screw thread. When the pusher is depressed with a finger, the shaft is rotated and the piston moves up. As the piston moves by a fixed amount., a fixed quantity of material is discharged from the outlet at the top. There is a ratchet mechanism at the base of the pusher at the top end of the shaft which only allows the pusher to rotate in the direction. Thus, the shaft is always rotated when the pusher is depressed.</p> |
