The socket (or similar electrical installation) consists of two separate parts, The front part has retaining device for fixing into the hole in the wall and for fixing the rear part. The rear part consists of a base that closes the front part. The retaining device of the front part (11) has screws (20) that screw into hooks (17). The front part has a lip at its front that sits on the front of the wall. When the screws are tightened, the hooks press against the rear of the wall. The rear part has spring arms (29) that engage the front part and hold the two parts together. The advantage lies in the socket's being fittable into the front wall of a hollow wooden partition.
