Overflow prevention in water cooled tumble-drier condenser - using temp. controlled switch located below overflow lip

An open-flow, water-cooled condenser for a domestic tumble- dryer has a temp. controlled inlet valve for the cooling water which is open only when the temp. of the exhaust air exceeds a pre-set min. value. The temp. controlled switch is located in the condenser housing at a sufficient depth below the overflow lip that, if the water outlet becomes blocked, the switch is immersed in the rising water and cooled below its shut-off temp. before the water reaches the lip. This is a simple and inexpensive way of preventing damage by overflow water, requiring no additional components or elaborate design alterations.
