<p>In liquid phase epitaxial growth of a garnet film on pair(s) of substrate, the substrates of each pair are sepd. by a material contg. PbO, which is applied as powder before epitaxy in such an amt. that there is no marked penetration of the melt in which the films grow between the substrates but sufficient to reduce the stresses on the substrates. The films are used in the prodn. of magnetic bubble domain elements. The process allows several films to be grown simultaneously with minimal bridging problems. It is extremely simple and cheap.</p> |
