Compsn. for cleaning and protecting precious metal surfaces - comprising aliphatic alcohol (ether) sulphate, silicone oil, chalk and water

The surfaces of precious metals are cleaned and protected using a compsn. comprising dispersant from sulphates of aliphatic alcohols and/or sulphates of aliphatic alcohol ethers, or silicone oil, chalk and water, opt. mixed with a lower alkyl alcohol. The surfaces are easily and rapidly cleared without chemical reaction and maintain their colour and lustre much longer than those treated by chemical methods. The compsn. is also non toxic and non aggressive and can therefore find household applications.
