<p>The appts. is used for construction of a temporary floating bridge, esp. across a river. Use is made of a pontoon unit (11) fitted with travelling gear (21). At the front and rear ends the pontoon has an equal degree of slope, in the same direction, in planes transverse to its longitudinal axis. The deck (113) is in the form of a roadway. The slope is pref. approx. 30 deg. One or more lugs (1111) may be provided at the rear, and corresponding recesses (1121) at the front, pref. with a funnelled entrance. The carriageway, which can be grooved, is immediately available for traffic, and dismantling is as easy as installation.</p> |
